CASHBACK WHEN YOU USE YOUR ALTO CARD!
With Christmas just around the corner, ALTO has just agreed a series of cash benefits to ALTO cardholders.
Starting from this Thursday 1 December, all ALTO cardholders will automatically qualify for a cash rebate on their shopping every time they use their ALTO card at a range of high street names such as ASDA, Debenhams, New Look and Ernest Jones, the Jeweller.
The amount the cardholder will receive ranges between 4% and 10%, depending on the retailer. The cash rebate applies to all spending on the card at the participating retailers (both in store and online), with no limit to how much can be earned.
The beauty of this scheme, unlike many, is that there are no points to collect, or vouchers to redeem - the rebate will automatically be credited to the cardholder’s account at the end of the following month. Cardholders do not need to do anything.
The full list of shops and the refund % is set out below. ALTO are looking to expand the list over the coming months so we would encourage you to let them know if you would like to see any other shops included, via email to: cs@altocard.co.uk.

Advice & Money Link
WCCU moved its Ellesmere Port membership point in October.
It is now located in the market at the new Advice & Money Link unit, sharing with other agencies, including EP Citizens Advice Bureau, Cheshire Neighbours CU, Cheshire West and Chester welfare rights team and community safety wardens.
It is hoped that members will benefit from having such a wider range of services available in one place and early indications are that the new location has increased awareness of the services offered by WCCU.
Our previous location in Trinity Methodist Church is now undergoing a refurbishment and we wish them well with their future development plan. We can thoroughly recommend them as a landlord!
Annual General Meeting held at All Saints Church Hoole
This event saw members of West Cheshire Credit Union coming together to hear about the progress that took place during the financial year 2009 to 2010 and to comment on plans for the future.
Elections also took place for positions on the various volunteer committees. Any member (over 16) can put themselves forward to stand for election to the Board of Directors, Credit Committee and Supervisory Committee.
Look out for the date of the AGM in 2012 and try to be there!

West Cheshire Credit Union in the Community
Representatives of the West Cheshire Credit Union were available for members of the public to ask questions and sign up to membership at Asda, Ellemere Port on Saturday 6th February.
This provided the opportunity to engage directly with members of the community and give information on the benefits of saving, or borrowing from your local credit union.
John Dearnley and David Ellis from West Cheshire Credit Union were both on hand to provide full details of the range of services provided, plus give an overview of the pitfalls the public might encounter if they choose to borrow from a high interest, or illegal loan shark.
This is one of a number of events planned by West Cheshire Credit Union across the area.
