Community Outreach Officer
West Cheshire Credit Union
25 hours per week | Fixed Term – 12 months (pending further funding)
West Cheshire Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial co-operative, dedicated to providing safe, affordable, and accessible financial services to our local community. We are looking for a passionate and motivated Community Outreach Officer to join our team and help us expand our reach, strengthen community relationships, and support people in accessing fair financial services.
About the Role:
As Community Outreach Officer, you will play a key role in raising awareness of West Cheshire Credit Union, building partnerships with local organisations, and supporting individuals to benefit from our services. You will work directly with community groups, schools, employers, and residents to promote financial inclusion and encourage membership.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain partnerships with local organisations, employers, and community groups.

Organise and deliver community events, presentations, and workshops to raise awareness of Credit Union services.

Support individuals in joining the Credit Union and accessing appropriate financial products.

Contribute to marketing, communications, and social media activities to promote outreach work.

Monitor and evaluate outreach activity, providing reports to the Credit Union Manager and Board.
About You:
We are looking for someone who is:

Passionate about making a difference in the community.

Has a flare for marketing and using social media platforms.

A confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.

Organised and able to manage their own workload.

Experienced in outreach, community development, or partnership working (desirable but not essential).

IT literate, with skills in Microsoft Office.

Contract Details:
Hours: 25 hours per week (flexible working may be required, including occasional evenings/weekends).
Contract: 12 months fixed term (pending further funding).
Location: Based in Chester with travel across the Cheshire West area.
